Installation steps of stainless steel double ferrule tube fitting:

Step 1: insert the pipe into the tube fitting, make sure that the end of the pipe reaches the bottom of the fitting, and tighten the ferrule nut with finger.
Step 2: mark the 6 o'clock position of the ferrule nut.
Step 3: fix the compression fitting body with a wrench and rotate the ferrule nut one and a quarter. At this time, the mark is rotated by 540 degrees to the position of 9 o'clock.

Working principle of double ferrule tube fitting:
In the process of tightening the ferrule nut one and a quarter turn, the following designed actions are completed in turn inside the fitting.

1. Through the thread mechanical pushing, the ferrule nut moves forward to push the back ferrule forward, and the rear ferrule pushes the front ferrule forward.
2. The tip of the tube fitting body extrudes the front ferrule inward.
3. The front ferrule eliminates the tolerance between its inner diameter and the outer diameter of the tube.
4. With the advance of the rear ferrule, the front ferrule moves forward and inward, and the rear end lifts up to form a seal with the inclined surface of the fitting body.
5. With the greater deformation of the pipe and the increase of the contact surface between the body slope and the front ferrule, the greater resistance forces the rear ferrule to move inward, thus forming a second firm support on the pipe.
6. When the ferrule nut is tightened for one and a quarter turn, it advances by 1/16 inch (1.52 mm), and the tube fitting is sealed and the pipe is clamped.
